Start of my new future

My Name is Helen, I am 32 years old and I live in Cornwall.
I have a wonderful fiance Dean who I have been with for four years, and we have a beautiful little boy called Ethan, who is currently 17 months old.

I have always battled with my weight from a young age.  I have been on every diet known to man since the age of 8 years old; Cabbage soup, WW, SW, Lipotrim, Slimfast, Alli, Rosemary Collonny, Dukan, some weird combination of frankfurter sausages, tuc biscuits, cauliflower, beet root and icecream?
All to no avail.  I feel that I set myself up for failure every time I start a new diet.  I get so excited seeing the initial pounds of water weight just drop off in the first few weeks, and then all of a sudden, my weight loss just stops, for weeks on end, and sadly I give up.

I don't think it would bother me that much if I only had a couple of stone to lose, but I don't, I have a whole person to lose.  I carry this person around 365 days of the year.  I carry her everywhere; to work, to the supermarket, to playgroups, to the park, to the beach and to all those wonderful clothes shops that stop at a size 22.  I then heave her into Evans; the big girls shop, and always leave there either feeling very un inspired or skint (big girls clothes cost more; must be all the extra material)

So after reading lots of other people's blogs, I decided maybe I could blog about my battle with my weight, and have some fun along the way.  It would be great at the end of my long haul slog, to read back and see pictures of my success.  I have no self confidence and do not take compliments very well, so a place like this where no one can tag or comment is great.

I have a long journey to make, and it starts now.  For Dean, Ethan and me
